Sazerac is a 2025 buckling out of a young and promising Tempo doe and Big Brown, the sire of 2024 ADGA best udder Tempo Aquila Tweed. What we are hoping we get from Sazerac, as well as excellent udders and continued high production, is SIZE, something our herd could use a bit more of. Sazerac is a fast-growing young buck and he comes from maternal and paternal lines of tall alpines. He also has the gentlemanly manners I have come to understand is part of the package when you buy a Tempo buck.

Sage Farm Cazenovia
We finally have decided to keep Sage Farm bucks. Sage Farm Ashuelot is a goat we just want to keep as much genetics from as possible. There is something about her. She resembles our original Roeburn line, but also shows the length and size from our Tempo Aquila HM Barracuda’s award-winning lineage. The kids she throws so far have retained the characteristics we looking for. In 2026 we kept a doeling, Volta, and a buckling, Cazenovia. Despite being absolutely amazed by the first 2 udders out of our Bearly Alakai Glasgow Monarch, we decided to let him go as to not overlap too heavily his genetics in our small herd. We hope Cazenovia will carry that trait from his sire. We are waiting on his paperwork, but we plan to use him to breed in 2027.

Sage Farm Champlain
We have always wanted to buy a buck that carries the alpha s1 casein allele A or B, that correlates with good milk solids and high yields in cheesemaking. After a couple misses from other herds, we decided to test some of our own bucklings and keep one with the A allele. Champlain’s dam Willoughby, comes from our line of deep bodied, large does and heavy production. We are hoping to see some good udders here, both from his paternal and maternal lines. We are waiting on his paperwork, but plan to use him to breed in 2027.
